In many rural areas, a lack of toilets and hygiene access continues to push young girls out of school. Something as basic as privacy or a sanitary pad becomes a reason for absence, discomfort, and even dropout. Through the Shiksha aur Swachhta campaign, Vakuladevi Foundation builds toilets in government schools, distributes sanitary kits, and creates awareness around menstrual hygiene. Our goal is simple: no girl should have to choose between her health and her education. By addressing these overlooked but crucial issues, we create an environment where learning becomes safer, cleaner, and more welcoming for every girl.
We construct well-maintained, secure, and gender-specific toilets in rural schools to ensure that girls feel safe and comfortable during school hours, especially during menstruation.
Our team provides monthly sanitary kits to adolescent girls, reducing absenteeism and helping them manage their health with confidence and care.
We conduct interactive workshops with girls, teachers, and even parents to break myths and teach simple, healthy practices that promote long-term well-being.
With better hygiene infrastructure and resources, girls are able to attend school regularly, participate freely, and build a future that is not interrupted by preventable challenges.
When you support Shiksha aur Swachhta, you’re not just helping a girl stay in school—you’re helping her learn without fear or hesitation. Your contribution can fund a toilet, a sanitary kit, or a hygiene session that changes the course of a girl’s life. Step forward and make education complete—for her, and for every girl like her.
